Golden Way Tour

The group will consist of a maximum of 15 people and will be organized with a set 11-day itinerary.

This type of tour will apply to ALL TOURISTS coming to Russia.

NOTE: Please take note that this tour requires a Russian Visa and we kindly ask you to book the tour in advance to be able to get a Russian Visa on time.

Day 1: (Wednesday) Arrival in Moscow

Arrival in Moscow and meeting with the guide and the driver. Transfer to the centrally located hotel ****

Day 2: (Thursday) Moscow

09:00 Meeting with the guide in the lobby of the hotel

09:00-13:00 Sightseeing tour (including stops by important historical places and the cathedral of Christ the Savior)

13:00 – 14:30 Time for lunch on the Red Square

14:30 – 17:00 The excursion to Novodevichy Convent, a 16th-century cluster of sparkling domes, one of the city’s most beautiful groups of buildings and full of history and treasures. The adjacent Novodevichy Cemetery is Moscow‘s most prestigious resting place after the Kremlin.

Moscow Night Cruise. Day 3: (Friday) Moscow

10:00 Meeting with the guide in the lobby of the hotel

10:00-11:30 Tour to the Kremlin by Metro. You’ll have the opportunity to discover why the Moscow subway is known as the most beautiful in the world. You will be stunned by some recognized stations all over the world and learn the history behind them

11:30 – 13:30 Kremlin tour (one of the major museums of the world, an important and grandiose architectural complex. The historical, spiritual, and political heart of Moscow and the city's most famous landmark and tourist attraction. It's an intriguing ensemble of buildings with an architectural variety that reveals a long and fascinating history.)

13.30-15.00 Time for lunch on the Red Square

15.00-17.30 Tour with a guide to The State Tretyakov Gallery (The State Tretyakov Gallery possesses a unique collection of Russian art which includes masterpieces that span a period of a thousand years.)

18:00 Back to the hotel

Day 4: (Saturday) Moscow –Sergiev Posad - Yaroslavl

09:00 Meeting with the guide and the driver

09:00 - 15:00 The excursion to the city of Sergiev Posad, one of the Golden Ring cities of Russia with a population of about 100,000 people. The Holy Trinity Lavra is one of Russia's most important religious centers founded in the mid-14th century and in 1993 declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The picturesque ensemble of the monastery itself, comprising over 50 buildings and other structures, is a true gem of Russian architecture.

15:00 – 16:30 Time for lunch (not included)

16:30 – 18:30 Driving to the old town of Russia Yaroslavl.

19:00 Arrival to Yaroslavl and check in to hotel 4**** centrally located

Day 5: (Sunday) Yaroslavl

10:00 Meeting with the guide and the driver

10:00 - 14:00 sightseeing tour of Yaroslavl a city located 250 kilometers (160 miles) northeast of Moscow. The historic part of the city, a World Heritage Site, is located at the confluence of the Volga and the Kotorosl Rivers. It is one of the Golden Ring cities, a group of historic cities northeast of Moscow that has played an important role in Russian history.

14:30-15:00 Back to the hotel and the time at leisure

Day 6: (Monday) Yaroslavl – Kostroma – Suzdal

09:00 Meeting with the guide and the driver

11:00 - 13:00 Sightseeing tour of Kostroma a city of wooden beauty and bus ride to Suzdal arriving at 15:00

Day 7: (Tuesday) Suzdal – Vladimir – Moscow

09:00 - 13:00 sightseeing tour of Suzdal a city located 180 kilometers (120 mi) southeast of Moscow. The historic part of the city is a World Heritage Site. It is one of the Golden Ring cities, a group of historic cities northeast of Moscow that has played an important role in Russian history.

13:00 - 13:30 Driving to the town of Vladimir

14:00 - 15:00 Time for Lunch (not included) in the old center of the city.

15:00 - 17:00 sightseeing tour of Vladimir a city located 150 kilometers (90 mi) southeast of Moscow. The historic part of the city is a World Heritage Site. It is one of the Golden Ring cities, a group of historic cities northeast of Moscow that has played an important role in Russian history.

17:00 - 19:30 Driving back to Moscow

20:00 Arrival at the hotel. Accommodation in 4**** centrally located hotel.

Day 8: (Wednesday) Moscow –St Petersburg

12:00 – 13:00 Transfer to the railway station to take a High-speed train “Sapsan”. Departure time from Moscow is 13:30 and arrival to St Petersburg at 18:15

18.15 Arrival in St Petersburg. Meeting with the guide, and transfer to the hotel. The guide will be waiting for the group near the wagon with a tablet

19:30 Check in the 4-star hotel ****

Day 9: (Thursday) St Petersburg

09.00 Meeting with the guide and the driver near the hotel

09.00 - 13.00 sightseeing tour (including stops by sphinxes near the spit of Vasilevsky Island).

Visit St Peter and Paul Fortress (This is the first building of the ancient city of St. Petersburg and there are tombs of the Romanov dynasty in the Cathedral). The Savior on Spilled Blood (The Church of the Russian styled domes which attract by its dazzling and colorful facades and interiors)
13:00 – 14:30 Time for lunch (not included)

14:30 – 16:00 The way to Peterhof (the summer residence of the czars, called the "Russian Versailles"). Peterhof (Petrodvorets) is a jewel of Russian art, a city of parks, palaces, and fountains. It is located 29 km to the west of St. Petersburg

16.00 – 18.00 Tour to Peterhof Parks and Peterhof Grand Palace

18.00-19.00 Back to the city

19.00 Optional evening program (Ballet, folk performance)

Day 10: (Friday) St Petersburg

09:00 Meeting with the guide and the driver in the lobby of the hotel

09:00 – 10:00 The tour in Pushkin town which is 25 km from St Petersburg and famous for its Catherine Palace and its magnificent interior: the famous "Amber Room" (a work of art of inestimable value and beauty)

10.00-12.30 The tour of Catherine Palace, Amber room, and the gardens with a guide.

12.30 – 13:30 Back to the city

13.30 – 15:00 Time for lunch in the restaurant in the center of the city.

15:00 - 17.30 Tour to Hermitage Museum (one of the major museums of the world, an important and grandiose architectural complex that has one of the most important art collections)

18.00 Back to the hotel

19.00 Optional evening program (Ballet, folk performance)

Day 11: (Saturday) St. Petersburg

Meeting with the guide and the driver. Transfer to the airport.
