Tsarskoye Selo – is the museum-preserve in Pushkin that includes a palace and a park ensemble of the XVIII-XIX centuries. It is the former royal residence, converted into a museum after the nationalization in March of 1918.
The museum received its current status of the museum-preserve in 1992. Pushkin town is 25 km from St Petersburg and is famous for its Catherine Palace and its magnificent interior: the famous "Amber Room" (a work of art of inestimable value and beauty).
