This Cathedral is the large Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg. It is situated on St. Isaac's Square. The Cathedral is very beautiful and it has the status of a museum. The cathedral was built in the years 1818-1858 by the architect Auguste de Montferrand by order of the Emperor Nicholas I.
